Anna Kendrick
Anna Kendrick was born in Portland,
Maine, to Janice (Cooke), an accountant and William Kendrick, a teacher.
Michael Cooke Kendrick, her older brother, has also appeared in shows. Anna
Kendrick is Scottish, Irish and English-born. The actress received nominations
for the Tony Award (second youngest ever) and the Drama Desk Award and the Fany
Award (best actress in a musical). Her amazing performance won her the Drama
League and Theatre World Award.She was a lead singer in Cabaret's Kit Kat Club
at "Carnegie Hall Live" in Great Performances: My Favorite Broadway:
The Leading Ladies (1999) (TV). Along with Scott Ellis and Susan Stroman, she
had the opportunity to work alongside Jeremy Irons at the New York City Opera
House. She was in the role of Fredrika in the film "A Little Night
Music" and was a part of Todd Graff on the feature film Camp (2003). After
1991's Tony award winner Daisy Eagan, she was the second-youngest nominee.
George Clooney ridiculed her at the New York City Opera House along with choreographer
Susan Stroman. She also appeared in "Jane Eyre" as well as "The
Little Princess" for Broadway. In 1998, Jason Reitman cast her in Up in
the Air. It was following her performance in Rocket Science (2007). The only
actress from the 'Twilight' Saga to receive an Oscar. In 2010, she was
nominated to play Natalie Keener in the sequel and third seasons of the show.
She graduated from Deering High School in Portland, Maine in 2003. London, in
which she was filming Into the Woods (2014). September 2013: Has the privilege
of appearing in three major screen musicals including Into the Woods (2014).
