Britney Jean Spears

Britney Jean Spears was conceived in McComb, Mississippi, and was raised in Kentwood. Britney was a dancer when she was a child and was a fantastic gymnast. She won numerous competitions. But, perhaps most importantly, Britney loved to sing. Britney was just 8 years old when she attempted to join The All New Mickey Mouse Club (1989) However her age and youth led to her being disqualified. Her next audition was for "Ruthless", an off-Broadway production in which she played as the title character for two years. At 11 years old she auditioned for The All New Mickey Mouse Club (1989). This time, she was one of the mouseketeers along with other current stars, Justin Timberlake and JC Chasez (*NSYNC) and Ryan Gosling. However, her most notable break was in the latter part of the 1990s when she was signed as a Jive Recording artist. The debut album of Britney Spears, "...Baby, was released in 1999. Britney also sold 9 million copies (as in July 2001) of her second album "Oops !...I Do It Again" that was released in May 2000. Britney was born to Lynne Spears & Jamie Spears and has a big brother named Bryan Spears & a little sister, Jamie Lynn Spears. Britney, a child of Madonna, Mariah Carey, and Whitney Houston, was always determined to be a celebrity. After taking extensive vocal and dance classes, and participating in numerous talent shows and fairs, Britney auditioned for The All New Mickey Mouse Club (1989) television show between 1989 and 1994 when she was just 8, however, she was too young for the role. Instead, Britney, her mother and baby sister moved to New York where she starred in numerous TV ads and in an off-Broadway production, "Ruthless", where she worked as an understudy to Natalie Portman. After a few years her love for dancing and music began to take over. Britney auditioned once more to be on "Mickey Mouse" and was chosen along with Justin Timberlake, Christina Aguilera Christina Aguilera, and Justin Timberlake.
