Lil Tecca

Tyler-Justin Anthony Sharpe (born on the 26th of August, 2002) who is professionally referred to as Lil Tecca, is an American rapper and singer. The rapper gained fame through the release of his single from 2019 "Ransom" which had a peak at number 4 on the Billboard Hot 100. The track was also featured on his debut mixtape Love You Tecca (2019) which reached number 4 on the US Billboard 200. The mixtape also included the singles "Love Me", "Did It Again" and "Did It Again". His debut studio album"Virgo World" (2020) was released at number 10 on the Billboard 200 and included the Billboard Hot 100's top-charting tracks "Dolly" and "When You Down". His second mixtape We Love You Tecca 2 was released in August 2021. It included the songs "Repeat It", "Lot of Me" and others. Tyler-Justin Anthony Sharpe was born on August 26, 2002, in the Queens area in New York City to Jamaican immigrants. He was raised in the Springfield Gardens a neighborhood of Queens however, he later moved to Cedarhurst in Long Island. From a young age, Sharpe had aspirations of being a player in the NBA however, after 12 years old Sharpe shifted his focus to pursuing a career in music. Sharpe completed his studies at Lawrence High School. Tecca was just nine years old age when he began rapping on his Xbox. The two would create diss tracks on one another. One of the tracks was uploaded to SoundCloud some time ago, but the track has since been deleted. He initially had no plans to pursue a career in music, but he dreamed of becoming an NBA star. However, in middle school, he resigned himself to basketball and began to consider taking music more seriously. The first track that gained some attention, "Tectri", was made by him and his friend, Lil Gummybear, and it was released in the early part of 2017. The other tracks that he had in the beginning include "Callin". A year later, Tecca's career began to grow with his hit single "Ransom" The track was originally released on Cole Bennett's Lyrical Lemonade YouTube channel on May 22nd in 2019. It reached the top spot at 4 in the Billboard Hot 100 charts and has been played over 900 million times on Spotify and more than 300 million times on YouTube.
