Allyson Felix

Allyson Michelle Felix was born Los Angeles on November 18 1985. Paul Felix, the father of Allyson Michelle Felix is a minister who was ordained by Master's Seminary Sun Valley. Marlean Felix works as a primary school teacher in Balboa Magnet. Felix was a natural athlete and discovered her love of sprinting while in the sprints at Los Angeles Baptist High School. Only 10 weeks after her first attempt, she finished in second place in the 200 meters at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix finished her high school education and was signed to a pro-contract for Adidas. In 2004, she began her studies at an institution called the University of Southern California, which is where she studied elementary education. Felix won her first Olympic medal at the Athens Summer Olympics 2004. Felix broke a junior-world record of running the 200m in 22.18. The year 2005 was the time she was the youngest 200-meter world champion in the Helsinki World Championships. She won the title again in 2007, beating her former Jamaican competitor Veronica Campbell. Felix always placed in the top third of each of her races in Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo.
