Emma Watson

Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson was born to British parents Jacqueline Luesby, a lawyer as well as Chris Watson, a teacher who taught in Paris, France. When she was five years old, older, she moved to Oxfordshire where she attended Dragon School. Emma realized when she was six years old that she was going to be an actor. Over the course of several years, she was a student at the Oxford Stagecoach Theatre Arts branch, where she learned dancing, singing, acting and many other things. At the age of ten Emma was already involved acting in Stagecoach productions and school productions. Casting began for Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone (192001) The film adaptation J.K. Rowling’s bestselling novel. Casting agents stumbled upon Emma through her Oxford theatre teacher. After eight auditions David Heyman revealed to Emma and Rupert Grint (other applicants) that they had been given the roles of Hermione Gringer, Harry Potter, and Ron Weasley. Emma's debut on the cinematic screen was when the film Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone in 2001. The film broke records in opening-day sales and opening-weekend takings and was the top-grossing movie of 2001. The film's performances and those of its three young stars received praise from reviewers. The Daily Telegraph, a British newspaper that is widely distributed, praised Emma's performance as "admirable." Emma was awarded five awards for her role in the film, including the Young Artist Award, for Leading Young Actress In the Feature Film. After the release of the first film in the highly successful series, Emma became one of the most well-known actors in the world. Hermione Granger continued to play her role for nearly 10 years in the Harry Potter films. Emma has received two Critics' Choice Award nominations from Broadcast Film Critics Association.
